Based at Tyland Barn, Maidstone, Kent

Are you looking for experience in the environment sector? We are looking for someone to help us with the running of the Local Wildlife Site system, whilst gaining experience in our busy conservation office.

Local Wildlife Sites are an important part of Kent’s core biodiversity. You will help to ensure that we have up to date information, maps and citations to help protect this vital resource. Liaison with landowners, ecological surveyors and colleagues is a vital part of the role and the successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills and an eye for detail.

Kent Wildlife Trust is one of the largest of the 47 Wildlife Trusts and has the simple aim of protecting Kent’s wildlife for the future. We are working to restore biodiversity, focusing on the restoration, recreation and reconnection of wildlife habitats, linking them to the green space in our cities, towns and villages. Our vision is to rebuild nature by working with landowners, local communities and partner organisations to create a Living Landscape.

If you feel you have the experience and skills to meet the challenge of this role we would be very interested to hear from you.

This is an unsalaried role but offers a training budget and travel expenses.
