Special Needs Teacher

A Special Needs School (SEN) in Barking and Dagenham is looking for a SEN teacher to start in January 2014.

They are looking for a creative, committed and enthusiastic SEN teacher with experience working with children on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate’s main focus will be to teach a small group of key stage one children on the autistic spectrum.

The school is well resourced and provides an excellent education to the children at the school. There is a strong possibility that the school will be expanding in the forthcoming year from 30 to 70 pupils.

There is genuine potential for career progression in the next few years.

Special Needs Teacher

A primary school in Greenwich is currently recruiting for an experienced teacher to work within the deaf facility at the school.

This is a mainstream school with a deaf centre and you would be expected to work with Key Stage 1 and Early Years aged pupils as part of the unit and the mainstream school.

You will be very well supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and work in small groups, primarily focussing on teaching Literacy and Numeracy.

This is an oral provision so a sign language qualification is not required, however it would be beneficial if you had some experience in this area.

This is a “Good with Outstanding features” rated school according to a recent OFSTED report.

This is a maternity post and the successful candidate is due to start as soon as possible and will run for at least one academic year.

An excellent rate of pay will be offered to the successful candidate.
