Residential Support Worker for Children’s Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to work within one of our Children’s Residential homes in Ilford. Within this home we provide care for young people between the ages of 11 to 17 with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

The role of a Residential Support Worker is to support young people within a supported living service. Our Support Workers ensure that the young people receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs. The primary objective is to enable our young people to become emotionally stable and self sufficient in order to live independently. We achieve this by offering a space that is both safe and homely for young people to explore themselves, with a staff team that is unique, consistent and supportive.

Experience Required:
Experience of working with young people specifically within a residential environment
Experience of working with young people that have EBD

Qualifications Required:
NVQ Level L3 – Health & Social Care/Children & Young People’ s Workforce

Person Specification:
Excellent communicator both Written & Verbal
IT Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Team Player
A passion for helping young people

Nursery Teacher needed for vibrant Children’s centre

A large vibrant Children’s Centre in the heart of London require an excellent FULLY QUALIFIED Nursery teacher to start work ASAP. You will be working with a dedicated team of friendly and supportive staff who have recently received an outstanding rating by ofsted and are committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for their pupils. This role requires an excellent, experienced Fully Qualified Nursery Teacher who has a strong grasp of the current EYFS curriculum and has the ability able to motivate and inspire their young pupils. Children’s shop supervisor

Treehouse childrenswear are looking for a shop supervisor to start in January 2014. All applicants must have previous experience working in Retail and be able to work weekends. Professional shoe fitting experience is desired but not essential as training can be provided.
Working hours will be 25 – 35 per week split over 4 to 5 days including weekends.

Based in Stockbridge, we are a childrenswear shop with a difference. You must have bundles of enthusiasm, patience and enjoy working with children. Treehouse is a one stop shop for mums and dads, with clothes, shoes, books & toys plus the hairdressing section, a unique concept in Scotland.

Duties include:
Merchandising stock displays and windows
Pricing and maintaining stock levels
Providing excellent customer service
Managing staff and shop rota
Children’s shoe fitting and providing expert advice
General housekeeping of shop floor and stock rooms
Cashing up, banking and maintaining records
Support with website stock levels
Report to Shop Owner/Manager
