CBRE has an exciting opportunity to join a growing Energy and Sustainability team, focused on assisting corporate clients such as Bank of America, Pfizer, Credit Suisse and AIG; as well as with investors such as CBRE GI to manage and reduce their carbon emissions and energy costs.

The role of Senior Energy Consultant is as follows:

  • Define and implement clients’ energy and carbon reduction strategies
  • Assist clients to measure, monitor and report on energy consumption and carbon emissions
  • Identify opportunities to reduce carbon emissions within clients’ property portfolios
  • Calculate potential savings in terms of kWh, CO2 and cost
  • eliver on these opportunities through managing installations & behavioral changes
  • To be able to normalize and verify savings post implementation
  • Assist clients to meet their increasingly challenging compliance requirements, for example the Carbon Reduction Commitment, EU ETS and ESOS
  • Support wider energy management objectives, for example through energy procurement
  • Ensure clients benefit from emerging opportunities, for example various demand response schemes and Electricity Demand Reduction Scheme
  • Support clients’ wider sustainability and corporate social responsibility objectives

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Excellent first degree, ideally in engineering or building services
  • Specific energy efficiency / low carbon qualifications are desirable
  • Relevant professional membership e.g. CIBSE, Energy Institute
  • Demonstrable project management skills, with ability to manage multiple complex work-streams and clients
  • Delivers work efficiently and to time
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Experience in energy efficiency and wider sustainable energy is required
  • Experience of energy management, including energy procurement and compliance would be beneficial
  • Understanding of the Carbon Reduction Commitment would be of benefit
