£10.93 per hour, plus holiday allowance
zero hours contract – varying hours per week available until 31 March 2015

Based at project sites in London, South East, South West and East of England

This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with people to get involved in the work of Sustrans by providing support to the delivery of projects at various locations in the South West, South East and East of England. This could include activities in schools, workplaces or communities and involve cycle training, bike checks/maintenance, led walks/rides, information stands, personalised travel planning, promotional events or classroom sessions to engage with the public and support and encourage more people to travel actively through walking, scooting and cycling.

With a good standard of education and experience of working with people in a public facing or customer service role, you will have strong communications skills with an out-going personality, the ability to engage, motivate and inspire and be able to function with limited supervision and as part of a team. You will be knowledgeable about behaviour change, have basic bike maintenance knowledge and have experience in the planning and delivery of events.
