Clerical Officer (Evaluation)

The Role

We are seeking to appoint to the post of Clerical Officer (Evaluation) on a two year fixed term basis to support all administrative and development elements of the University’s evaluation of its outreach programme across a wide range of school, college and community based provision, and of its equality and diversity pilots.

You will also support the department in the successful delivery of the University’s Student Ambassador Scheme, being responsible for providing training, placements and monitoring across all areas of the ambassador scheme and contributing to evaluation work on these and related outreach projects.

The Person

With a BA Honours degree or equivalent, you will be proficient in the use of Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint and have an ability to develop and maintain systematic approaches. Significant previous office experience in a busy and challenging environment, including experience in using data bases, is an essential requirement of the role.

You will be a confident communicator who is able to appropriately frame and write evaluation reports for wide circulation as required, as well as being able to conduct simple data analysis. You will also have a genuine interest in improving access to, and promoting the value of, higher education for local people.

Partnership Development Office

The Partnership Development Office is responsible for supporting the implementation of the University’s widening participation strategy and for developing partnerships in the region, with a particular focus on sub-regional partnerships, in support of this strategy. The Partnership Development Office is part of the EMS comprising the Recruitment and Admissions Office, the Publishing Office and the Scholarships and Foreign Loans Office.
