We are looking for Mentors to join our residential child care team working positively with young people in homes across East Sussex. Starting salary £15,810 – £20,340 based on 44 hour week with the potential to earn an additional £3,740 for sleeping in allowance. 24 hour sleep-in shifts. Residential Support Worker for Children’s Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to work within one of our Children’s Residential homes in Ilford. Within this home we provide care for young people between the ages of 11 to 17 with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

The role of a Residential Support Worker is to support young people within a supported living service. Our Support Workers ensure that the young people receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs. The primary objective is to enable our young people to become emotionally stable and self sufficient in order to live independently. We achieve this by offering a space that is both safe and homely for young people to explore themselves, with a staff team that is unique, consistent and supportive.

Experience Required:
Experience of working with young people specifically within a residential environment
Experience of working with young people that have EBD

Qualifications Required:
NVQ Level L3 – Health & Social Care/Children & Young People’ s Workforce

Person Specification:
Excellent communicator both Written & Verbal
IT Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

Our client has job vacancies for Social Workers to work within a Referral and Assessment and Children Looked After Teams. These vacancies are an initial 3 month contract, the pay rates are up to £30 per hour (limited company worker).

Requirements:
Have you got a social work degree or equivalent?
Are you HCPC registered?
Do you have at least 2 years recent post qualified experience working within Children’s Services in the UK?

If you fit these requirements then you could be the ideal candidate.

Duties:
Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need (CIN).
Producing initial child protection conference reports.
Conducting initial and core assessments.
Liaising with partnership agencies.
Meeting the needs of children and young people.
Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes.

Homecare Support Worker

Join our expert team doing weekend work supporting vulnerable people in their own homes to be as independent as possible, with personal hygiene/care, cooking, companionship, cleaning you need to be able to work

Mondays to Fridays at the time people need assistance i.e. 7am-2.00pm &/or 2.30pm – 5.00pm, 5.00pm – 9.00pm

Carers to work in pairs – double up teams are also needed.

You will be moving from home to home throughout the day spending time with each client’s depending on their needs.

Drivers preferable but not essential.

You will require
- Right to work in the UK
- 2 reference covering 1 year period
- Current CRB issued within 1 year (or pay £44 for us to apply for one for you, so you can work with vulnerable people)

We have the Borough of Barnet contract to supply which includes EN5, EN4, N12, N20. We always need experienced and non experienced dedicated staff who can provide continuous support to our older clients. We will give you full training if you can commit to the hours and live in the above areas so you don’t have too far to travel.

Homecare Support Worker

Join our friendly team doing care work supporting vulnerable people in their own homes, with personal hygiene/ care, cooking, companionship and cleaning.

Mondays to Fridays 6pm – 10pm and Saturday’s 8am-2pm & 4pm – 10pm.

You will be working in a double up team as a carer and the driver. A smart car will be provided including all expenses paid by Personnel and Care Bank.

You will be moving from home to home throughout the day spending time with each client depending on their needs.

We require you to have:
- Right to work in the UK
- 2 references covering 1 year

- A good level of verbal and written English
- Live in North London
- A full UK clean driving licence.
