Nursery Teacher

This large school situated in the Camden borough is seeking an experienced Early Years Specialist Teacher to teach a Nursery class for after Easter (Summer term).

Ideally they are seeking a teacher that has a proven track record in teaching Early Years on a long-term basis in a UK school. Experience of already teaching Nursery classes on a long-term basis will be an added bonus for this school so this job is not going to be suitable for NQT’s.

A strong thorough knowledge of the Early Years curriculum is essential for this position as well as having very good classroom management skills. The ability to keep the children engaged by creating a fun learning atmosphere is something that this post will also require.

Our vibrant, “outstanding” and successful nursery requires an extraordinary, full time senior practitioner/trainee manager to join our high quality 24 place nursery in Enfield.

The nursery is conveniently located in a residential area, close to transport facilities and local amenities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced practitioner, who has the ability to inspire a tenacious, well-qualified team, possesses great communication skills and has an approachable nature.

This position would suit an experienced senior nursery practitioner who has previous experience of working as a room leader/supervisor/deputy and is looking to further their career and develop their managerial skills.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• To include and maintain high standards of care and education
• To effectively lead and manage the staff team, providing day to day guidance and support
• To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to
• To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends and changes in legislation
• To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
• To implement effective parent partnerships and develop strong links with parents
• To manage all day to day operations of the nursery

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent with a least 2 years post qualifying experience
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and targets
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong people management skills
• Knowledge of Equal Opportunities and SENCO, etc.
• Previous relevant supervisory experience

Nursery Assistants

Tigerlily are delighted to be working with a ground-breaking nursery in Chiswick who are also planning to expand internationally. Although the role is working in a nursery, this is no ordinary nursery. This is an ideal role whether you have a nursery, teaching or nanny background. The client is looking for a creative, dynamic and fun candidates. They are recruiting across all levels (nursery assistant/practitioner and room leader/lead practioner).

Assistants start from £15k +, practitioners/room leaders £16-£22k.

These are all full time permanent positions Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year, 40 hours a week.
