Capital Development Manager

Reporting to the Head of Capital Development within the Estates and Facilities Directorate, the Capital Development Manager will provide project/capital development specialist knowledge and expertise to contribute to the delivery of the Estates department’s capital development programme, supporting the strategic direction of the University. You will work very closely with a diverse range of University stakeholders to identify, formulate and realise ideas for estate development projects ranging from small scale improvements through to major development schemes.

You will possess significant experience in a project leadership role having developed a particular track record of working with end-users to initiate and develop projects. You will have strong planning and project development skills with experience of leading feasibility studies, undertaking option appraisals and leading brief development as well having the capability to successfully preside over the subsequent completion of projects.  Experience of having led projects across a range of property types particularly commercial, academic, civic and/or mixed-use schemes would be advantageous.
