ICT Technician – Glasgow

ICT Technician

ICT has never been so exciting.

Get your career on target with the RAF. We’re currently looking for people with technical talents to take a vital role: ICT support with a difference. We’ll give you full training and you’ll study towards a range of qualifications up to degree level as you maintain and operate complex communication, radar, information, and ICT systems.

There’s nothing nine to five about this opportunity. You’ll be maintaining and repairing diverse systems in a variety of locations. You could be on an airfield, in an underground bunker, office, or workshop, in this country or even overseas helping to set up deployable communications and control systems, sensors, and navigation aids.

It’s a chance to get experience you just couldn’t find anywhere else. You will work on long-range search radar, aircraft mission and ground support systems, airfield navigation aids, and local area networks. In short, you’ll support the systems we need to enable effective air operations on a global scale.

To succeed, you’ll need a minimum of three GCSEs A-C in English Language, Maths, and a science or technology-based subject together with a physics qualification or equivalents. You may be educated to A-level, HNC, or degree level. More important however, is your attention to detail, desire to learn, and hunger to succeed.
